New release date set as April 10th

Rumors? April Fools Joke? Sad thing is, this was posted today!

For those of you who were getting giddy about the release of the Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4, it looks as though you’ll have to wait another week. Originally scheduled to be released tomorrow for the Xbox 360 and later this month for the PlayStation 3, the [url=http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com/]Game of the Year site [/url]for Call of Duty 4 has an image posted saying that it won’t be released until April 10th with no reason given for the delay.
The Variety map pack sells for 800 MS Points and adds 4 new maps to the multiplayer part of the game, Creek, Broadcast, Chinatown and Killhouse. If you snag the GotY Edition, there is a token included that will allow you to download the map pack for free.

PS. Callofduty.com still has it listed as 4/3/08 so hopefully that's right!

There's no reason given for the delay because THERE IS NO DELAY.
Neither Activision, Infinity Ward, Xbox Live OR the Call of Duty official websites have mentioned ANYTHING of this.
You'd think by now, people would know how abused the internet gets on April Fools Day.
That http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com/ website is a bullshit splashscreen with links to actual official sites.

As a matter of fact, you MIGHT be able to actually get the maps early. Check the Marketplace latenight the day before the release and don't be suprised if it just happens to be there, especially to the westcoasters.
